Ep. 19: internetfarce.com
hundredsongsinhundreddays asks "Do men think it is easier to 'pick up' someone online?"
A: To put it bluntly: sorta kinda not really. But if the guy owns a MySpace ora Craigslist, he just might take a chance.
Here is the crazy thing about the internet. When you are on the internet, you can be anyone you want to be, including yourself. What we see is what we get. So, we assume that whatever you show or present is really you. More so when the picture actually looks real.
If you have some nice buttcheeks, or a cute face, maybe some nice thighs...men might want to see that...or something classy, whatever. It doesn't matter, because as much as we would like to meet that girl, the fear is always the same with us men: the fear that the girl on the other side of that internet looks nothing like what you show up on your picture.
In fact, the most popular assumption is that the cutest airbrushed girl there might be a man. Haha!
Online, its all about checking things out first. We talk, then we call, then we get a couple of pictures of the same girl (she doesn't have to pose), and then see what's going on. If ever we try to pick someone up on the internet, we make sure that the girl coming over is exactly the girl that is showing on the internet. Otherwise, we are abandoning the risk just by sticking with someone real.
In fact, some people just do two things: avoid this by keeping a real-life relationship or do some cyberbooty and be done with it.
